F.A.Q

Made by using hands and a rolling pin giving it a rustic charm, no item will be round or straight the imperfections make it unique.

I hope you enjoy the simplicity and honesty of each piece mixed with textures and chunkiness. Clay is an amazing material and has so many stages from wet and slimy to stiff and form building, and fires into a different material all together when all the water is removed.

DISHWASHER SAFETY

I have washed stoneware pottery in my dishwasher and some of my customers have told me they have put them in no problem so the risk lies with you.

CLAY TYPES

Some items are made from Earthenware clay others from Stoneware.  What is the difference you ask?  Earthenware clay is typically used in red terracotta plant pots and fired at a lower temperature its a porous ceramic but made waterproof by the Glaze on top, however over time water can seep into small holes in the glaze and it should not be used for wet food items.

Stoneware is harder and a more durable stone like material less likely to break which is useful if you drop your soap dish in the sink and its waterproof even without glaze.

I mainly use stoneware but check the listing for information

FOOD SAFETY

Products have not been food tested

I always use lead free non toxic glazes, however I have not sent any products for food safety testing, my pottery is sold as decorative not functional, so I am not liable for any claims relating to this as the risk is entirely yours.

FIRING MARKS

Items are fired on a bed of nails so they don't stick on the shelves, you may find marks on the bottom left by the pins, I give them a sand so they are not sharp. Occasionally some of the glaze sticks to the pins and you are left with a bare patch. Hopefully this does not deter from the items aesthetics, however you are welcome to return them as above.

COMMISSIONS

I do not take commissions, If you wish to order more than I have in stock please message me for restock dates
